Recession - A study in torment - The sound of silence

With work so elusive at the moment and more hardship to come

 in the public  sector. This image seems to highlight perfectly how it feels for many friends and colleagues worrying about the future.

My wonderful husband painted this picture. I just had to put this on my blog.

Of Foxy all I can say is this is his real character captured on canvas. A dog thats " more myself than I am"

Two of a Kind

Well you can see little actual reading was going to take place.

Foxy was determined a walk in the park was going to happen and the 

spring day was impossible to resists.   Moments later we're both out the door.

 I'm putty in that dogs paws!!!

A cold day with sunshine and more signs of Spring

As a child this little catkin meant Spring, lambs and soon to arrive chocolate eggs.

Sunny day in October

 This was taken on the same day as Nothing to Say and this made me smile.

Nothing to say

Watching this couple walk up to the gate and then stand so far apart made me rather sad.

After the walk

A long run in the field chasing a ball has left one small dog in need of a nap.

 It must have been all that spring sunshine and fresh air. 

Springs first steps

A gentle reminder that spring is on the way and the cold winds of winter will soon be gone.

Childhood

In a garden I saw this image and it struck me how much of our childhood is not sunshine and laughter.

A walk in the woods.....

A cold day but lovely clear mellow sunlight. I looked up into the branches of the pine tree loved the sunlight on the bark of this tree.
