A body in flight - Sam having the first Swim of the holiday

His fingers yet to break the water his feet leaping from the earth. This was Sam's first swim in Italy.

Yet to come .....

Maybe in May or June? New fresh leaves.

Last Rays of the Sun

Peaceful evening shared with silence.

Purple flowers in soft warm light

I'm still laid low with a nasty bug so this picture is one I took last year. I do find it quite a soothing image so I thought I'd share it .I did get out to walk the dogs briefly but the rain and achy joints quickly drove me back in doors.

Little Green Apples

A tummy bug has meant dry toast and sips of water all day.
All I really wanted to eat was fruit but if  I can't eat it at least I can take the picture!

What a handsome dog!!!

During the walk Foxy had run until his paws were hot. He just had to have a nap and  thought the quilt on my bed looked so inviting but first he had to persuade the owner of the bed. That was going to take his masterful stance. Ah Victory!!!

After the walk

One walk and the same result. Two happy tired dogs.

Wisdom Vs Energy

Today watching my two dogs  getting ready to chase the ball is really like watching a lesson in cooperation. The older dog Jessica stays at the back for long shots whilst the younger Foxy does most of the running. Ah the wisdom of age over the energy of youthful enthusiasm .

Spring is in the air

A very cold day with moments of sunshine. How I long for the real heat of Summer.

Nature's Sculpture

This image of a horse chestnut bud had a sculpted quality. Nature unwrapping it's very own artwork.

Golden heads in Spring sunlight

Valley Gardens Harrogate - a bank of gold.
I love the black, white and grey of the trees and then the bank of glorious colour from  the flowers. The  image shows the earth awaking after the winter.

Dramatic sculpture in RHS garden

Metal and Glass Holly clinging to a tree.

Soft shadows in the afternoon

I love the way that the sunlight plays on the bark of this tree. Bringing beauty to the dead winter leaves.
